Customer reviewsComfortable but bad zipper
These are some of the most comfortable boots I ve ever worn. They are waterproof and are easy to slip on and off with the side zip. EXCEPT, the zipper seems to have a tendency to separate at the seam from the boot. See the attached pic. I noticed another buyer had the same issue. I ve owned these boots 4 months only and they do not get daily wear. At most they are worn 2-3 times per week and then for only part of the day I am a volunteer EMT and only volunteer about 2 evenings per week in our small town . I contacted Amazon about a return replacement even though the return period had passed. However, they did accept the return but unbeknownst to me, they charged a restocking fee of almost 23. The customer service rep did not disclose this fee during our chat. On a follow up chat another customer service rep pointed to some fine print buried somewhere on the Amazon website. That was a first...Amazon is usually pretty liberal with products that are obviously defective so I was surprised I was hit with the fee. But I went ahead and bought another pair anyway they were about 5 cheaper now hoping that this was just a one-off situation. I ll keep a close eye on these zippers knowing what I know now. If it weren t for the zipper I d be giving these 5 stars. If the new ones hold up I ll do just that. And let s hope Amazon customer service can be a bit more up front about disclosing these restock fees especially when they are in the midst of a conversation with a customer about a return.
