Customer reviewsBest Backpack I ve Ever Owned
This is the PERFECT camping vacation bag because you can carry it on your back when you need to and roll it down the trail when you get tired. At 27.5 inches long, It s much taller than most backpacks, which is great for those who like to pack a whole lot of stuff If you re into overnight hiking, you can easily fit a Coleman 4-person Sundome tent box in this bag along with a WellaX sleep pad and lightweight sleeping bag. I love that the interior is one large compartment so that my clothing won t wrinkle. There s another large compartment underneath the hood, adding a perfect place to stash socks, underwear and toiletries. On the downside, this backpack doesn t have advanced back support pads or a lumbar belt for even weight distribution. In other words, it s not the best choice for long hiking excursions through the wilderness. It s more for the car camper who likes to take short overnight hikes away from base camp. I won t deduct a star for the lack of lumbar support straps because I don t think this backpack is meant to be a long distance hiking bag in the first place. I have a large collection of backpacks--some for hiking, some for vacationing and some for boating. This is my favorite for hotel vacationing, car camping, car travel, city exploring and short overnight hiking trips. I love that the bag stands up straight without tipping. Most long backpacks fall right over, leaving you to bend to the ground to look for stuff. The fabric is a thick, water resistant type of nylon, but this backpack is not totally waterproof for boating. I ve used it in the rain with no issues, but I wouldn t drop it into the lake. You ll need a rubber like PCV material for that.
